Hellfest Looks to be one of the Largest Metal Festivals to Date

Hellfest is one of the most popular metal festivals on the planet. Based in Clisson France, Hellfest is one of many metal festivals that dominate Europe throughout the summer, along side Waken Open Air, Nova Rock and Download. Over the years, this summer run has become a regular touring ritual for some of the biggest metal acts of all time. However, 2022 sees Hellfest's biggest lineup to date, large enough rival the likes of Rock in Rio, Download and even mainstream festivals such as Glastonbury.

Since it's formation in 2006, Hellfest is celebrating the 15th instalment by extending the festival over two weekends. Mid June will see Hellfest celebrate with seven days of music, six stages to visit, and over 350 bands to choose from. Ranging from small and obscure to some of the biggest names in business. The headliners alone is worth the price of admission, featuring Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Scorpions, Avenge Sevenfold, Defotone and Faith No More. Most festivals are lucky to have just two or three of these artists of their bills.

Headliners aside, Hellfest offers a whole plethora of rock and metal royalty. Across six days you can see the likes of Alice Cooper, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Bring me the Horizon, Bullet for my Valentine, Korn, Whitesnake, Deep Purple and so much more. Even the poster is daunting to look at. You could spend hours browsing the lineup discovering new artists every time. I have never seen a line up quite like this, it simply seems to good to be true.

However, Many tickets have already gone, and the first three days have sold out already. Getting tickets will be a challenge, especially as a presale is reserved for previous ticketholders who were unable to attend last year due to covid-19. General sale begins on the 7th July. If you have to chance to pick up some tickets, don't hesitate as they won't last long, and this truly is a once in lifetime opportunity. If you are able to go, do it because this is going to be one of the largest celebrations of the genre in years, and one we are unlikely to see again for some time.
